Erwin has a vast experience in leading business ventures and advanced technology teams in the field of optoelectronics and power semiconductors. While living in Malaysia and California for a couple of years he gained international experience. The companies where he was involved prior to AZZURRO were Siemens, OSRAM Opto Semiconductors and Infineon. Together with the AZZURRO team he ensured the future growth of the company by finalizing a substantial financing round.
After studying in London (UK), Alexander started his career in venture-capital. He was then with two large expansion and business development projects where he also successfully raised the necessary funding from shareholders and banks. In 2003 he co-founded AZZURRO Semiconductors and, together with his colleagues, built AZZURRO to its current state and raised the extensive funding for AZZURRO’s success.
Andrew is a 25 year chemical and semiconductor industry experienced professional. As the finance leader he has a very strong unterstanding of technology due to being a Physicist and Chartered Electrical Engineer. Andrew has held key senior leadership roles in Manufacturing, R & D and Sales & Marketing in the UK, Germany and the USA with ICI, AstraZeneca and Advanced Micro Devices.
Erwin's started his marketing and sales career in 1989 working at Hitachi Semiconductors getting familiar with Japanese and international business culture. Since then the spent most of his time in large parts of Asia, covering among others, Korea, India, Taiwan and China, working on marketing, sales and strategic M & A projects, excelling in intercultural topics and growing the business. In his last position before joining AZZURRO he was heading the global marketing activities at Lantiq.
Stephan is an entrepreneurial executive with >13 years of opto-electronic semiconductor products experience in international production, engineering and customer driven business at Siemens/Osram OS. He developed a variety of commercial opto-electronic products ranging from LEDs, V(E)CSEL and edge emitting IR and visible lasers for communication, illumination, sensing, material processing and rgb-laser-projection. He is an expert in personal management, coaching and project leading of strategic development and funding of international projects with a strong technical III-V-semiconductor background and MOVPE experience. Leading the GaN-based laser research & development group at Osram OS, his team was awarded with the Karl Heinz Beckurtspreis 2010 for their pioneering work on direct green InGaN-based laser diodes. He joined AZZURRO in 2011 as head of research & development.
Markus is originally from the field of optoelectronics. He was able to gain a very wide experience in Silicon based CMOS chip development, technology and frontend as well as backend manufacturing working in Siemens, Infineon, Qimonda, and Inotera Memories. He is in the semiconductor field for 20 years changing between positions in Germany, Asia, US, and several functions with global responsibility. He joined AZZURRO in 2009 in time to join the financing activities and to apply his knowledge to grow this new company.
